Our Work: Trident IAG

Forming strong partnerships within the community is essential in the fight against gun crime. In recognition of this, The Metropolitan Police has formed close links with leading members of the black community through the Independent Advisory Group (Trident IAG).

The Independent Advisory Group works with the Met to improve relationships between the police and the community. As part of this work, the IAG oversees all of Trident's activities and provides constructive, often hard-hitting, criticism direct to the Commander the charge. IAG members are totally independent of the Met.

We provide support to the IAG by providing fundraising services and administrative and communications support.
